Well here it is early October and it seems that we are having an amazing Indian Summer. October has long been one of my favorite months in the Upper Arkansas River Valley. As I look out the window and type this letter the leaves along the Arkansas here in Downtown Salida are at their peak. Snow on the mountains reminds us that soon we will be coming into winter. All in all its one of the most beautiful times of the year and one of the best to get out and enjoy the mild, dry weather. But in between all the fun fall activities (or during) don't forget to stop by and pick up your favorite libations. Our palates may be craving darker and more hardy drinks, but the weather is telling us it's still OK to enjoy the lighter drinks which can be more refreshing on these warm days of fall.
